Terms of Service
The terms you agree to when using BraiderSpace.
Last reviewed 18 September 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BraiderSpace platform, operated by SC BRAIDZ & CUTZ LTD, a company registered in England and Wales ("BraiderSpace", "we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using BraiderSpace, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including clients (those seeking braiding services) and braiders (those offering braiding services).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use BraiderSpace. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated. BraiderSpace reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where false or misleading information is provided.
3. BraiderSpace's Role
BraiderSpace is a marketplace platform that connects clients with independent braiders. We are not a braiding service provider. Braiders are independent professionals and are not employees, agents, or contractors of BraiderSpace.
BraiderSpace does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by braiders. We do, however, verify braider identities and maintain a review system to help clients make informed decisions.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at info@braiderspace.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You may not create more than one account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.
5. Bookings
When a client books a braider through BraiderSpace, a contract is formed directly between the client and the braider. BraiderSpace facilitates this transaction but is not a party to the service agreement.
Clients agree to pay the deposit at the time of booking and the remaining balance directly to the braider on the day of the appointment.
Braiders agree to honour confirmed bookings and to provide services as described in their profile. Braiders must notify clients and BraiderSpace as soon as possible if they are unable to fulfil a booking.
6. Payments & Fees
All payments are processed via Stripe, our third-party payment provider. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
BraiderSpace charges a platform service fee on each completed booking. This fee is deducted from the braider's earnings and is disclosed during the braider onboarding process.
Deposits are held by BraiderSpace until the appointment is completed, at which point they are released to the braider. Refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy.
7. Braider Obligations
Braiders using BraiderSpace agree to:
• Complete identity verification before accepting bookings
• Provide accurate descriptions of their services, pricing, and availability
• Maintain professional standards and treat clients with respect
• Honour all confirmed bookings or provide timely notice of cancellation
• Comply with all applicable UK laws, including health and safety regulations
• Not solicit clients to transact outside the BraiderSpace platform
• Keep their profile information accurate and up to date
Braiders are solely responsible for the quality of their services, their tax obligations, and compliance with any applicable licensing requirements.
8. Client Obligations
Clients using BraiderSpace agree to:
• Provide accurate booking information, including service requirements and location
• Arrive on time for appointments or provide advance notice of delays
• Treat braiders with respect and professionalism
• Pay the agreed balance on the day of the appointment
• Not solicit braiders to transact outside the BraiderSpace platform
• Submit honest and accurate reviews
BraiderSpace reserves the right to remove reviews that violate our community standards.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use BraiderSpace to:
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Circumvent the platform to avoid paying service fees
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform content without permission
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or damages the platform
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the BraiderSpace platform — including the logo, design, text, and software — is owned by SC BRAIDZ & CUTZ LTD and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of content you upload (such as profile photos and portfolio images), but by uploading it you grant BraiderSpace a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, BraiderSpace shall not be liable for:
• The quality, safety, or legality of services provided by braiders
• Any loss or damage arising from transactions between clients and braiders
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
Our total liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to BraiderSpace in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Disputes Between Users
BraiderSpace provides a dispute resolution process to help resolve disagreements between clients and braiders. To raise a dispute, contact us at info@braiderspace.com within 7 days of the relevant appointment.
We will review the dispute and make a determination based on the evidence provided. Our decision regarding deposit refunds is final, subject to your statutory rights.
BraiderSpace is not obligated to mediate disputes but may do so at its discretion.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting info@braiderspace.com.
BraiderSpace may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, intellectual property rights, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the law of the country in which you reside.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of BraiderSpace after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
